Japanese Dry Brush - Natural Sisal
Dry brushing is an ancient practice that physically exfoliates the skin, removing dead skin cells from the surface, leaving your skin softer and smoother. The course bristles stimulate the pores and open them up, making it easier for the body to release toxins through sweat. The brushing movement and stimulation improves blood flow and lymphatic drainage, and supports detoxification.
Directions: Before showering, brush skin with light, sweeping strokes. Starting with the feet, brush upward towards the heart, circling at the hips and stomach, then from the hands up and in towards the heart again, circling at the shoulders and chest. (See diagram). Ideally, 7 strokes per section of skin, 2-3 times a week.
